Newsvalue levels

Code Priority
6 (Absolute top story) News that clearly dominate an entire news day. A Flash will have newsvalue 6, but not necessarily the follow up stories after a Flash.
5 (Top story) News percieved to have broad reader interest nationally at the time of publication.
4 (Head story) News percieved to be the best story in a given category at the time of publication, for example the best economics story, or the best foreign news story.
3 (Regular story) A standard newsworthy story important to stay abreast of the broader news development. Usually in shorter format.
2 Notations, basic rewrites, accidents and crime of regional and/or local siginficance
1 Editorial information not for publication, service material, some specialty content outside of pure news delivery.
